This bug report pertains to version 0.9.8.1pl1-28.  With pre0.9.9, I
am unable to reproduce the problem.  If it exists with pre0.9.9, then
all I can suggest is that when slrn is eating CPU cycles that you
attach the debugger to it via:

   # gdb slrn
   (gdb) attach <slrn-pid>
   (gdb) where
   (gdb) list
   (gdb) up
   (gdb) list
   (gdb) up
   (gdb) list
   (gdb) up
   (gdb) list
   (gdb) up
   (gdb) list
