When I set slsh correctly in the environment it starts as expected but
complains that it cannot find slsh.rc although this is correctly
installed in the default $CONFDIR. But I suspect I see a problem:

My copy of mingw is actually installed under 'MinGW' rather than
'mingw'. I left the installation directories as quoted above believing
that under windows the case did not matter. So is slsh actually
looking for /mingw/local/etc/slsh.rc and choking on
/MinGW/local/etc/slsh.rc?

When I am allowed back on my wife's computer I shall try this and if
this fails I will retire to Linux.
