can't reply to post

I just tried to reply to a post by Jörg Sommer using Alpine as my email client. I got an error message saying I hadn't defined an NNTP server. I have no idea what an NNTP server could possibly have to do with sending email. I have posted to this group in the past and have never seen this error. If this email goes thru It will mean that it didn't occur now (obviously).
