slrnpull shutdown problem

Hi all,

    I am having a problem with slrnpull disconnecting with the error 
message:

08/07/2009 10:40:25 sci.electronics.repair: 22 articles available.
08/07/2009 10:40:26 ***Connection to server lost. Performing shutdown.

No matter how many times I attempt to reconnect, same error condition 
repeats.

Following is the excerpt from the slrunpull log file:

And the console output says:

 From this I assume that the message contains a . alone on a line, which 
is the cause of the
problem. Since the messages seems to get replys from other readers, 
looks like the problem
is  only with slrnpull.  How could this error condition be ignored, to 
continue getting the
of the messages ?
