Yes, slrn works very well. I have to dig really hard to find some
cosmetic problems. ;-)

The problem seems to be, that trailing (or leading) dots are
not allowed in dot-atom-text, so for a solution read_dotatom() is no
longer useable. Still I'm baffled, but will go on.
