During the action, so on the screen will be something similar to

I guess you need to generate a large article if you have a fast connection.

Without arguments, just setting an env. var., e.g.
% NNTPSERVER=msnews.microsoft.com slrn

Normally invoked from zsh, but occured with "sh" and "csh".
