Thanks for responding, apologies for being unclear.

Yeah I do this (when I remember) I'd rather add it to my slrnrc as more
often I'm forgetting. I use Gmane for posting to debian-user; so am not
using slrn as mail user agent but as a regular nntp client. (Hope this makes
sense)

I'm reading and posting to debian-user e-mail list via Gmane (nntp to mail
gateway).
