Thank you John for the response. On Thu, Feb 11, 2016 at 10:34:13PM -0500, John E. Do you have any macros installed that may be > overriding the keybinding? This and the remainder of your message allow me to narrow the problem to the mime.sl file [/usr/share/slrn/slang/mime.sl] Uncommenting the interpret statement does not change anything, the 'K' for scoring does not work, but uncommenting the setkey statements, which AFAIS should not interfere at all, *DOES* bring back the 'K' key. --------- interpret "mime.sl" %setkey article "mime_process_multipart" "\e[m" %setkey article "mime_browse" KEYBINDING "\e[m" --------- These are the three last lines in my .slrnrc file and the most recently added (copied and pasted). Unfortunately I subscribe to a few groups where I need to decode French accents in Quoted Printable multipart messages and metamail is no longer available from the Debian resources... The mime.sl file is certainly in wide use elsewhere and I am unable to detect anything in the code. So, if the frugal three lines above already point at a mal configuration, I will be glad to rectify that.
