When you say you have picked up slrn again I confess that with the
state of Usenet these days I still have an annual wrestle with myself
as to whether I should still keep my subscription. Nevertheless I am
still here as well :).

I am not 100% sure that JED still monitors this mailing list? Perhaps
you might be better to send the patch directly to his email address
which is given on the slrn website as:

jed at jedsoft org 

And hopefully this will come to his attention...

I have not tested the patch myself as my slrn usage really revolves
around a small spool with slrnpull and the file authinfo keeps
slrnpull happy enough.
