I'm quite a newbie to News and just set up sn for the internal network with some local groups, and one group from the providers news server. currently i just call snget per cronjob every view minutes to keep that extern group up to date. Is there eventually a way to sync immediately after posting? i tried to write snget into /usr/sbin/POST, but it blocks the client until snget finishes. And it would be cool to sync when a client connects and looks for new posts in that group. (maybe except if the last snget did just run a view seconds ago) Also, there sometimes are network problems. is there a way so the new postings do appear in the group and sync later? (otherwise users might re-post indefenitely when they don't see their post) Thanks for any hints you can give me Worf
