Hi, I've been trying to install sn on a Cobalt RaQ3, (for about the past 9 hours :P), with no luck. It's installed fine, and I've got all the directorieys, and permissions set up ok. The cobalt doesn't seem to like the setting of the POSTING_OK in hosts.conf, but as I plan for these groups to be publically postable, then it's no big deal. I altered snntpd.c so posting_ok would always be true, and recompiled, and restarted inetd. Now, when I connect, it happily tells me I can post, tells me to go ahead when the POST command is issued, and the fails horribly with a 441 Posting failed message. I've checked /var/log/messages and it gives the following: snntpd:do_post:POST died with 255 along with the output from the POST file if you run it from the shell I've spent literally hours trawling through source code, and I'm damned if I can find out whats wrong, which is a pity, as other than that, sn seems to be perfect for my needs. If anyone has any ideas what the problem is, I'd be extremely grateful Regards, Ben Charlton Notnet Hosting Services http://www.notnet.co.uk "Webhosting that doesn't suck"
