Oh, you want to remount the /home directory to a different physical location. You can use the mount facility to mount /home to a /cygdrive/d/unixhomes type of path. I think the registry key to force this as a cygwin global is: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin\mounts v2\/home] "native"="C:\\somefolder/somesubfolder/cygwinhomes" "flags"=dword:0000000a Regards, Armand -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of AVARVAREI, Sebastian ONL Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2007 7:57 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Location changes in registry not reflected in SFTP Hello David, Thank you for the quick response. Yes, I know about changing the location in passwd file, but what I want to do is specify a different location for the whole /home. I could also use /cygdrive/, but I would really prefer using the registry, because it would also allow me to define or modify other main folders as well.
