I'm all for a mechanism for root discovery, just not a specific URL nor in only one format. The restrictions those burden put upon things is unacceptable. That it also open ups the spidering can of worms is but one problem. The arrogance of dictating a horribly limited format is another. Then there's the disaster of limiting it to static delivery or excessive server configs to fake such. None of which is an issue using a link tag. If the data's being served via HTTP the ability to provide this data inside the root default document is as trivial a price to pay as writing a static file. -Bill Kearney Your use of Yahoo!
