I'll support any feed protocol that includes
Channel-Item-Title-Link-Description as broadly described in 0.9x, 1.0,
2.0 I won't support any feed format that breaks these by changing the
structure or renaming them until it's got a significant (like 10%)
market share. Which really means that a feed I desperately want is only
available in that format.

Please don't break CITLD.

If feed protocol designers and authors want to experiment with
extensions or added cruft then they should go ahead. While understanding
that each extension is a standard in it's own right that competes for
mind share and that succeeds or fails on the extent of its
implementations. As long as you don't break CITLD, I can safely ignore
you. Or join in if your particular extension interests me.
