I'm fine with making the shift to rss-dev for this converstation.  I've cc'd
the rss-dev list with this reply.

Sure, it's possible.  Were this not about date elements in the context of
RSS I'd have no trouble with the idea.  But considering the past history
regarding timestamps and RSS it's asking for trouble.  It's hard enough
getting folks to use properly formatted timestamps.  Asking them to properly
make complex ones seems rather unlikely.

Heh, I suppose it'd even be possible to express and rdf:alt about an instant
in time using alternative calendaring systems too.  (waves to DanBri)
