Hmm, well I think that the simpler syntax probably makes most sense
for RSS, eg (this is the one I use...):

  <dcterms:created>1998</dcterms:created> 

  http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/dcterms/#created

But since RSS 1.0 feeds are also RDF I'd have thought it makes sense
for the more verbose syntax to be considered as valid RSS also...
