Advertising in RSS feeds

It's seems to me that advertising in RSS feeds is inevitable and it's
increasing. So rather than condemn it, does anyone have opinions on what
is the most acceptable and unobtrusive approach that still works as
advertising? And noting that we all hated web advertising until well
targeted short text ads appeared.
Some possible approaches:-
1 Add a line to the bottom of every item's <description> eg Engadget,
weblogs .inc
2 Add a line to the top of every item's <description>
3 Add a dummy item that changes every day.
4 Add a dummy item that changes on every feed request eg Newsisfree
5 As above but with web hosted graphics
I like 1) and 3) because I've noticed that I don't unsub from feeds with
them in and they don't irritate me too much.
