Re: [ANNOUNCE] D-Lib Paper on RSS

Dear Tony Hammond,
 
I just wanted to say many thanks or the great technical article. I find it right on point as far as using RSS in a meta data centric web environment.  I also found it on point to my own efforts in RSS development. 
 
The article also brought out what was obviously confusing me about the central points of discussions in this forum. I have been monitoring for some time trying to get a mental connection from the RSS development group. The group's focus is on XML primarily, which is unfortunate.
 
XML without RDF is disadvantaged. RDF was intended to be a companion of XML by design.   The semantic web development requires growth towards RDF, not away from it as it seems this group is working so hard to do. I was hoping when joining this group to discover like minds. Your article brings hope.
 
I appreciate all of what you and your co-authors have contributed. I am studying your approach closely. It more or less validates what I have been designing for my own purposes.
