Thanks for the links. I have been looking at [2]. While [3] lists some
of its technical problems, there are also some problems with the
logic.

1)
There are no links in the head of e.g. http://dmoz.org/Arts/ to
connect it with http://rdf.dmoz.org/rdf/structure.rdf.u8.gz#Top/Arts.

2)
There is nothing in http://rdf.dmoz.org/rdf/structure.example.txt that
connects #Top/Arts with http://dmoz.org/Arts/.

3) The semantics of narrow, narrow1 and narrow2 are local to the
http://dmoz.org/rdf namespace.

I just wonder if maybe I should code 
DC.subject="http://rdf.dmoz.org/rdf/structure.rdf.u8.gz#Top/Arts"
rather than
DC.subject="http://dmoz.org/Arts/"
? 

But the latter is prettier, and neither is really of use for a
semantic machine, so I guess I go for the latter, until I see what
DC.subject DMOZ might place in their own headers.

I also note that we find 'topic' in the DMOZ namespace. That is
prabably a synonym for 'DC.subject', so I think it would be better if
they used the Dublin Core term.
