I'm not entirely sure I've grasped what you're after, could you please clarify :
- you have some content in a database
- you are already generating XHTML from that content
- you want to generate an RSS feed from that content..?
If it's this Magpie you're talking about:
http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/
- it's primary job is reading/parsing RSS, rather than generating it.
If so, the easiest route is probably to copy & modify whatever system
you have generating the XHTML to generate the RSS.
An alternative certainly would be to take the XHTML and pass it
through xpath2rss to produce the RSS output, if you have Python
available.
