Little of which has come from the RSS/RDF community (grog rations will be reduced to 9/10 water for a week). The syntax is a couple of painful steps away from RDF/XML, but the good news is they've done quite a few cycles hammering out the model (whilst looking at the syntax, seems familiar somehow ;-). It is a/v media-oriented, though has a few properties that cross domains, e.g. category (dc:subject?), credit (dc:creator?), adult (that pics successor?). There's support for a different levels of information about differing numbers of associated media resources, from RSS 2.0's <enclosure> (used as-is) to collections of different songs in different formats. btw, David - is that the latest version at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rss-media/files/ ? [ Hopping down the thread a little, couldn't the other kinds of blob be supported simply by changing the mime type? (With additional info from other vocabs - e.g. DOAP for software updates) ] Cheers, Danny. -- http://dannyayers.com Yahoo!
