RSS becomes the bridge which will allow to pass to Semantic Web (Part 2)

Hello Jason and others! Sorry, if I don't unerstand something, and 
sorry for my English.

Surely, I know about microformats, but:

The best of my belief there is no ontologies, which describe 
microformats.

Generally speaking, XOXO, XFN, hCard and many other microformats 
have different types of syntax. Therefore there is no ONE technology 
which allow us describe all this formats.

If anybody will want to support all microformats in his own programm 
or web product this person will must read many documentations and 
programme many strings of code.

And what give us using OWL and RDF:

OWL per se a documentation. If we will use rdfs:comment and 
rdfs:label in OWL we will obtain not only ontology but documentation 
which will be like open book.

But the basic advantage of OWL/RDF format is possibility to create 
programms or web projects which will already support ontologies, 
which will be develop long after.

Why I opened this topic in RSS DEV group mailing list:

1. RSS 1.0 based on RDF. It's ideal for using ontologies.

2. If we create ontology which will have the status of RSS-module it 
will have greater popularity.


Currently majority new web pages have RSS code.
And, for example, somebody has content (information) which possible 
represent via metadata. This person use favorite feed creator and 
produce RSS code.
But, currently, RSS support metadatas only about "news-like" 
information and Dublin Core.

If my idea will be realize, this process will be otherwise:

There is an officinal bank of RSS-modules (ontologies). And every 
programmer has access to it.
When appear new RSS-module -- feed creator (in automatic mode) add 
new capability to own functions: capability to represent some 
specific content via metadata (use resource from new RSS-module).

Every user in automatic mode get message from feed creator like 
this: "Dear user! Now you can use new RSS module: [description]".

It is of fundamental importance (!!!): feed creator (IN AUTOMATIC 
MODE) USE ONTOLOGY can build FORM AND INPUT FIELDS 

which allow use new RSS module.

RSS-agregators will have the same capability.


What interfere us to pass to Semantic Web?

There is one cause: we have no SIMPLE TOOL (for all people, not only 
for computer specialists) which allow us use Semantic Web.

For example, there is many SIMPLE feed creators and everyone already 
use RSS. There is simple HTML-editors end everyone use it, etc.

Keep it simple, stupid :-) -- KISS principle of usability.

It is of fundamental importance (!!!): If people will understand 
that using Semantic Web    IS SIMPLE   then they    WILL BE USE IT!


What can we do?


I think, it will be nicely to begin writing rules which help module-
developers create new modules.
And we must create the bank of ONTOLOGIES (RSS modules).

Any hacker realize my idea concerning new feed creator and new RSS-
agregator in a week.



and we will pass to Semantic Web at railway speed.
