The profile isn't an attempt to bend or change the spec. It states 
that "[t]he definitions of the RSS elements in this profile are 
provided for convenience and must not be treated as definitive. Refer 
to the specification for authorititive guidance on the format."

Although I hope that it's relied upon by implementers working their 
way through the spec, it's important that we not present this thing as 
a spec under another name.
