I am not sure... but the legal code of 3.0 seems to be more detailed than that of 2.0: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/legalcode vs. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/legalcode This entry of the CC blog documented some changes in CC Version 3.0: http://creativecommons.org/weblog/entry/7249 Anyway, the use of the latest license is always recommended: "A new version of this license is available. You should use it for new works, and you may want to relicense existing works under it. No works are automatically put under the new license, however." -Franklin -------------------------------------------------- From: "rcade" <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, 02 October, 2007 20:45 To: <[email protected]> Subject: [rss-public] Re: Proposal: Publish the RSS Best-Practices Profile > --- In [email protected], "Franklin Tse" > <peaceable_whale@...> wrote: >> The Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 license is not the > latest. >> Should the 3.0 license be used instead? >> >> http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ > > Thanks for the heads up.
