I believe Geoffrey is correct. The RSS spec may not say anything about it, 
but the W3C TAG does. See http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/doc/mime-respect

I don't think it's necessarily vital for the first version of the profile, 
but I would agree that it's a good recommendation.
