Honestly, I don't know that there IS an *official* process for  
updating and improving Media RSS. The group inside Y! essentially  
disbanded, and most of the people who were initially involved are gone  
now.

It was fairly recently discussed in this group (and generally agreed  
upon) that the management of the Media RSS spec would move to the RSS  
Advisory Board, but I haven't heard anything new about it in the weeks  
since that conversation took place.

In the meantime, I'm planning to set up a wiki page where I can start  
piecing together my proposed clarifications and changes. I'm hoping  
that eventually, we'll get a more standardized process in place where  
the community can propose changes and reach a consensus before  
publishing a new version of the spec.
