If you're going to go back to the original documents regarding the purpose of the RSS Advisory Board, here's another from 2004:

"We answer questions, write tech notes, advocate for RSS, *make minor changes to the spec* per the roadmap ..."

Emphasis mine. But this is ancient history that's pointless to rehash. The board has revised the spec 11 times:

The first six of these revisions occurred while you were a member of the board.

The role of the board today is the same as it was when you were a member. The only differences are that we operate in public and have more members, so we're more representative of the RSS community as a whole.

Your effort to revise RSS by creating a new version of RSSCloud should be proposed to the board.
