Then who _does_ own the spec? You? Can you try and fix the gaping=20=20
holes in the spec then? The spec has several gaping holes, and nobody=20=20
outside of the advisory board seems to care to try and fix them=20=20
whatsoever=85

To be a bit more explicit: one thing I've never managed to get=20=20
anywhere near the level of web compatibility I'd like in around four=20=20
years of leading development of SimplePie. The number one cause of=20=20
these problems are ambiguities in the spec: how can you ever expect=20=20
interoperability (which surely is the goal of a spec?) if it leaves=20=20
certain things (such as what the content of the title element is)=20=20
totally undefined?

If nobody is going to work on clarifying such gaping holes that make=20=20
it impossible to be interoperable, why should I not write a document=20=20
and call it "RSS 2.1", defining nothing more than what is defined in=20=20
the current RSS 2.0 specification? With such major interoperability=20=20
issues in RSS (like different UAs doing totally different things with=20=20
titles), why should I not also say authors must not create RSS=20=20
documents, as they can create Atom documents which are far more=20=20
interoperable?
