Yes, I am aware of the 8 character limitation across VNC versions. Our password is complex in that it uses letters, numbers, and special characters on the number keys.

Historically, VNC solutions have a limit of 8 characters for password when using standard VNC authentication, and most modern implementations respect that in order to maintain backwards compatibility. If you're trying to set up a larger one, you can try and see if you can connect using only the first 8 characters (it's likely you'll be able to connect).

When I install TightVNC with our complex password I cannot connect to the server. I am able to use a simple password such as the one below. Are there limitations on the MSI installer with how fancy of a password you can use? (We use another VNC product and it uses a complex password.)

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!
