It's not an issue with your vm, it's an issue with your vm being informed in a timely manner, which will be cross-network / universe, not specific to your vm. It's your local net's servers. Or your server's servers. DHCP isn't being propagated fast enough through your net. You need to talk to your admins, especially if you can have this happen to you then get them on the phone fast enough to see it. One way you might be able to tell, I forget ... ping -a <your client's computer name> ping <the number that comes back> If the names and IPs don't match in both, that workstation's IP change hasn't yet percolated through to your local hosts' name resolution 'provider'. That's a net service related <thing>, so something your net admins need to address - nothing to do with your vm. The way I would have used to do this in this case is 'rcmd <computer>', look at the user directories, and if the user I'm dealing with isn't there, I'm on the wrong computer. Or, if you can get your user to run ipconfig on their machine, and you ping <computername> from yours, and the IPs don't match - you're experiencing the issue.
