Slow refresh rate Windows 10

Hi All,
I upgraded from Win7 Pro to Win10 Pro and TightVNC is refreshing slowly. My colleague and I are both on Win10 and using TightVNC 2.8.8. When we remote to the same machine his is working as it should but mine draws the screen from left to right, top to bottom slowly. His is instantaneous. I set the color to 256 which wasn't really viewable and I also set the compression to 0 (fastest) which didn't improve things. We are both on the same LAN which is gigabit. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my graphics card. I am using an HP Zbook 15 G2. BTW, this was working fine on my computer in Win7 Pro. Thanks
