I'm purely speculating,
But I found more than a decade ago that whenever I encountered a black
screen, it was generally because something was unsupported between
your server an client.

Recommend...
- Lower screen resolution
- Lower color depth

You can check your Windows Update for things like device driver
(particularly video driver) updates/upgrades which could have enabled
your Win10 to exceed the capabilities of whatever client device you're
using.
