Re: Any commandline option for tightVNC VIEWER to set window size at start?

Don't believe it's true, saying that you can't specify display
resolution defaults by pixel, only as a percentage of screen or window
size.

It's been a long time since I've set up this way since the
/etc/vnc/config file has been deprecated from recommended setups for
many years but it used to be the standard way to configure and from
what I understand is still an option.

Here is the current MAN page for the tigervnc vncserver, search on
this page for "$HOME/.vnc/config" which would be the User counterpart
to the system location which was commonly used long ago and may still
work.

tigervnc, it's very common for basic functionality to be the same

At the moment I can't come up with a template example of the /vnc/conf
file I set up years ago but it was pretty straightforward... It was
composed of separate stanzas, and within each stanza you would specify
the port number (or address) for that connection and the VNC
properties including display, display resolution, color depth, whether
it was for VNC clients or Java connections, etc.
