Can TightVNC copy/paste files?

I've been using TightVNC 2.8.x for some time now with excellent results.
Well, almost excellent.

 

I am able to copy/paste text fine.  The little file transfer tool on the
toolbar works to transfer files, but I cannot copy/paste files between the
client and server.

 

Is that the expected behavior of TightVNC?
