I'm setting up a Linux machine running Linux Mint 20.I'm relatively new to Linux.
I don't see Tight VNC server or viewer in the Linux Mint 20 repository via...$ apt search vncor via the Gui Software Manager.
This off-site computer has to be able to connect to a remote Windows 10 PC running Tight VNC server
1 - Will any VNC viewer work with Tight VNC server?2 - Any particular VNC viewer (and VNC server) in the Linux Mint 20 repository that is recommended?
Backstory:
We are currently doing this with another off-site computer running Windows 10 and Tignt VNC viewer as follows...

We connect the off-site Windows PC running Tight VNC viewer to a Linux box at the main site using Putty and then are able to connect to the main site's Windows 10 PC running VNC server.
The Linux box at the main site is simply running Linux Ubuntu and we get to it via a designated open port on our router.
All this was originally done using MobiXterm on the off-site PC but we recently wrote a Windows batch file to do the job and it works fine.
Once the off-site Linux Mint 20 box is working we will re-write the Windows batch file for the Linux command line interpreter (bash I think its called)
but before we go forward we need make sure we install VNC on the Linux Mint 20 box...And, actually, we would like to install both VNC viewer and VNC server on that box so that it too can be remotely accessed.
Thanks for any help.
