Hi, bit of a weird bug here. Say I want to connect to HostABC, I will open up VNC Viewer and type "HostABC" or select "HostABC" from the recents list, and hit connect. After a few seconds it becomes obvious that something didn't work, after a short time I get back a message "HstABC - TightVNC Viewer: Error in TightVNC Viewer: No such host is known" The problem is immediately obvious, "HstABC" is missing the "o". Upon closing the error message and opening the viewer again, I can see the host name in the drop down and confirm it was correctly typed as "HostABC". Somewhere after that text box the host name gets mangled. Trying to connect again (hitting connect without changing anything) often work, but it may take 2 or 3 tries. Now, I'm not sure if the viewer is really trying to connect to HstABC or if there's some other problem, and the error box is showing the wrong name coincidentally. This bug is not common but definitely not rare. I might see it every 100 or so connections. Has anyone else seen this issue before? Viewer is version 2.8.64 Server version 2.8.27 (or newer, I have quite a few hosts this has happened on). ___________________________________________________________ TightVNC mailing list, [email protected] To change your subscription or to UNSUBSCRIBE, please visit https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/vnc-tight-list
