I'm in France and my router is an internet provider box called Livebox. I have the Livebox 4 used as my modem/router and wifi access point. Some months ago, I plugged my old Livebox 2 onto my lan network to use it as a second access point where my first wifi isn't good enough. I made sure to disable its dhcp server and applied an ip not in use (192.168.1.254): all seemed to be working well except this TightVNC lag. I tried several hours with this Livebox 2 unplugged from my Ethernet switch and I had no lag at all with TightVNC. Today I replaced it with a "real" access point (tp-link RE330) and no lag also :) . I hope you didn't spend too much time with my log. Thanks for your help, and for this great software :). Have a nice day Bruno Le jeu. 19 janv. 2023 =C3=A0 07:37, Bruno B. <[email protected]> a =C3=A9cr= it : > Hi Anton and Konstantin, > > Thanks for your replies. > > I sent a log level 10 to [email protected] with the issue happening > after a few seconds. > Sorry I didn't see you ask a level 9 level, I hope it isn't important. > > I also created a ticket here : > https://sourceforge.net/p/vnc-tight/bugs/1595/ > > Thanks :) > Bruno (nonobio) > > Le mer. 18 janv. 2023 =C3=A0 17:14, Konstantin Kaplinskiy <const@glavsoft= .com> > a =C3=A9crit : > >> Hello Bruno, >> >> Please fill in a bug report here: >> >> https://www.tightvnc.com/bugs.php >> >> We'll check anyway, but having a bug report will make sure we will not >> overlook the issue. >> >> Thank you! >> >> -- >> Best Regards, >> Konstantin Kaplinskiy >> CEO, GlavSoft LLC >> >> >> -------- Original Message -------- >> Subject: Display refresh lag >> Date: Tue, 17 Jan 2023 18:37:51 +0100 >> From: Bruno B. <[email protected]> >> To: [email protected] >> >> >> >> Hi, >> >> I use TightVNC since years without issue but since some weeks, I have a >> annoying problem: >> >> When I use TightVNC client on my Windows 10 Wifi notebook to remote >> control my ethernet desktop, I often have a display lag: display isn't >> refreshed, it is like frozen and after some seconds, it is responsive >> again. >> It seems that my controls are always sent (I see my mouse move on the >> server but I don't see it on my client). >> >> Recently I changed my desktop motherboard/cpu/Ram and OS from Win7 to >> Win10.
