resolution weirdness

I've got tightvnc server running on a couple machines. Every machine has 3
4k monitors attached for a total resolution 11520x2160 on each machine.

The client machine also has 3 4k monitors with the exact same resolution (
and scaling ). I use Real VNC to connect to the host machines so that I can
span all 3 monitors without any scroll bars. This works perfectly when
connecting to all host machines except for one, where there are an
additional 18 pixels added to the vertical resolution, for a resolution of
11520x2178. This causes the screen to scroll when in full screen mode and
the mouse hits either the top of the screen or the bottom.

I've tried different clients, including tightvnc, and get similar behavior.
I can't understand how the vnc server would serve a resolution HIGHER than
what is actually connected to the host machine. Any hints on how to resolve
this? Thank you,
