Huh. It is an interesting UI problem, I do see the advantage of 
single line scrolling, but I still find it hyper-distracting
(that's one thing about newsreaders...your eyes and fingers become
very attuned to very specific details.)  There isn't any way to set 
the entire header to inverse, rather than just the subject line, 
is there? That might work to set off the header from the text on
every page.
