The option-menu is translated into German (because of enabled NLS).
Non-ASCII characters are first correctly displayed, but when I
scroll down, they disappear:

    31. Blättere Artikel um ... Zeilen : 1
    31. Bltere Artikel um ... Zeilen : 1

It can always be reproduced, if tin tries to convert to UTF-8.
If LANG=C, every non-ASCII character is replaced by '?', but no
lines disappear etc.
If LANG=de_DE.ISO-8859-1, everything works fine.

No, the problem is shown consistently.

Every newsgroup, where subjects or names often contain non-ASCII
characters, e.g. de.comp.lang.c.

xterm (XFree86 4.3.99.15(181))
but the error occurs also when I use rxvt-unicode-3.0
