Download headers in a few newsgroups freeze tin?

Hello, 

I am having problem with tin locking up during download with header in 
specific newsgroups and I have to kill tin to do anything. I can't abort 
the download or anything since it doesn't respond anymore. Here's an 
example of a hang:

Group alt.games.battlefield1942 ('q' to quit)...  40% (1:57 remaining)

I tried catching up all newsgroups, unsubscribing the problematic 
groups and resubscribing them, etc. Does tin have a debug log or anything 
to get more information? Thank you in advance. :)
