Scrolling when opening newsgroup

 I'm having an issue whenever I open a newgroup in Tin 1.6.2.  The status
 bar that shows the progress (which looks like this):

  Group      alt.blah.blah.blah ('q' to quit)...   6%
  Group      alt.blah.blah.blah ('q' to quit)...   9%
  Group      alt.blah.blah.blah ('q' to quit)...   12%
  (0.12 remaining)

 scrolls off of the page, instead of the old behavior in tin where the
 line never moved, just the progress indicator.

 I'm using SecureCRT, and I have used vt100, vt102, vt220 and Ansi
 emulation, but nothing seems to fix this.

 Is this standard behavior, or am I just missing something?
