dhcpd troubleshooting

Hi all,

   I've been trying to get dhcpd to work on my linux alpha system with no=
=20
success. I run the server with no problems and have verified that the=20
config file is set to my intranet network domain of 192.168.0.0  ...

i try to telnet into port 67 and 68 to see if the server is=20
listening...but the connection is refused...my firewall is set to leave=20
these ports open.

Are there any other methods i could use to test the source of the problem=
?
