Looking at the kernel source on a suse 8.1 box here, tux_u.h indicates version 2.1.1 - and the userspace tools are version 2.2.7 I always grab the -aa patches from ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/andrea/kernels/v2.4/ BTW The suse kernel is essentially an -aa kernel.
