Hi, I just try again use p1instead of p0, but the problem remains. Here I pasted the screen when I try to apply this patch: -------------------------- [root@bearbunny linux-2.4.9-31]# patch -p0 < tux2-full-2.4.18-final-A3 can't find file to patch at input line 4 Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option? The text leading up to this was: -------------------------- |diff -rNu linux-2.4.18-final/Makefile linux/Makefile |--- linux-2.4.18-final/Makefile Tue Apr 2 17:17:06 2002 |+++ linux/Makefile Tue Apr 2 17:17:40 2002 -------------------------- File to patch: ------------------------ Even I create a symbol link as "linux" to "linux-2.4.9-31", the problem remains. What's reason for this? How can I solve this problem? according to what Ingo says in http://people.redhat.com/mingo/TUX-patches/QuickStart-TUX.txt, after i apply this patch, I should use "make oldconfig" to enable TUX in the kernel config, compile it and boot into the TUX kernel. Does this mean I need to rebuild linux kernel(or I just need to build modules again if I already build TUX as a module)again after I apply this patch and do "make oldconfig"? BTW, I did noticed TUX is disabled by default when I rebuild linux kernel for the first time, So why can I still use "service tux start" to start TUX even it is already disabled by Linux? Thank you.
