Tux install questions

I've been trying to install Tux for use in Specweb99
measurements and have some questions I couldn't find the answer
for in the documentation I've read.

My system config is a Quad Xeon with 12 GB RAM, and Redhat 8.0.

1. Is the tux patch required in order to use the Tux webserver?
Is the tux patch compatible with the BigMem linux kernel?
2. When I patch my default BigMem Redhat 8.0 kernel (2.4.18)
with the "tux2-full-2.4.18-final-A3" patch, I always end up
getting errors during the process, usually with ksyms.c and
several other files. Is this normal or am I doing something
wrong? The same thing happens to me when I don't use the bigmem
kernel and just use the stock kernel in Redhat 8.
3. The main problem I'm trying to resolve is that when I do run
Specweb99 on the system, is that the run seems to start normally
and then abort after 30 seconds. It has also happened that the
run does start and stays running but then never finishes, even
after an hour or two.

If somebody could please advise on any of these, it would be
much appreciated!

Regards, Brian
