Well, I have created some kernel 2.4.22 rpms with the new patch, based on
the standard redhat kernel rpms (so you can just install that parallel to
your normal kernel as rpm), and i must say that after a hour of testing at
200 hits per second, logging enabled, with heavy IO (copying large files in
the system) the server holds just fine.

I hope that i have made it easy for others to try the new version, so
install the rpms and tell us what the results for you.
