suddenly no downloads

hi.  I've been successfully using ubh 2.5x for ~ 6 months now. 
Suddenly about a week ago, I stopped getting any binaries.  Before
when this would happen, I'd delete everything after the colon (:) in
the .newsrc file and delete the netnews.* file in the download
directory, and everything would be fine.  However, this is not working
this time.  I've removed the OPT_I and OPT_X entries in the .ubhrc
file and still nothing.  Any ideas?
