That's what I used to build current SVN that worked for me.

I synced remote over SSH.  Sorry, I don't recall the exact file name and
I closed my notes after I sent the mail without saving.  IIRC it was
failing on one of the utf*.tfm files in
texmf-dist/fonts/tfm/public/japanese-otf.
