Re: sync localized directories (with different names)

overall, I'm wondering about adding an extension language and letting
users add hooks to various things, vs coding up specific mechanisms that
take data.   Probably Lua, but maybe it should be guile :-)

But all in all this is one of these "when there's code on the table, or
a real design, we can talk" things, or at least that's how it seems to me.
